Red Nose Day - Comic Relief - Friday 21st March

On Friday 21st March, pupils are welcome to come to school wearing ONE item of red clothing or a red accessory. Please note this is not a non-uniform day. We will be hosting a joke competition as well as some other activities in school - so get practising your best jokes ready for the day! Each class will vote for their favourite joke! We are asking for a donation for Comic Relief to be made via our just giving page: https://www.justgiving.com/page/trinity-ce-primary-school-9?utm_medium=FR&utm_source=CL

School website

We have been working to resolve the issue we are having with our school website, but while we wait for our normal website to resume normal service, we have a temporary website - www.trinityprimaryschoolhenley.co.uk - where you can find all of the usual information. We hope to have the normal website back next week.

The Great Henley Sack Race

On Saturday 6th April, Henley Town Council are hosting a community litter pick event from 2:00 - 4:00pm.  This is a great opportunity to encourage children to take pride in where they live and to make Henley litter free in just two hours. Equipment will be provided along with free refreshments.  There will be children's activities and prizes. Please CLICK HERE to sign up.

  • Mother’s Day (28th March) - Through activities in our Creative Inventors category, children will get imaginative and handcrafted beautiful origami flowers to show love and appreciation for their mums and mother figures.

Early Years (Reception)

Animals - Tuesday 18th March

Early Years are due to start their new topic about animals, so on Tuesday 18th March we would love children to bring in either a picture of an animal or a cuddly toy animal to talk about. Please don't bring in anything precious and any cuddly toys should be named.

Key Stage 1 (Years 1 & 2)

Year 1 Multi-skills Festival - Tuesday 18th March

Thank you to those who signed their child up for this event on 18th March. Unfortunately, we only had space for 30 children, so the remaining Year 1 children will stay at school.

Year 2 Multi-skills Festival - Tuesday 25th March

Year 2 children in Dahl Class and Rosen Class have been invited to a very exciting Multi-Skills Festival on Tuesday 25 March, at Henley Rugby Football Club, starting at 9.45am and finishing at 11.45am. Children should bring a named water bottle and a small, named bag of healthy snacks (fruit/veggie sticks/cereal bar). Children will have their lunch at Trinity when we return to school soon after midday.

We will need parent volunteers to help escort the children there and back and to stay on site for additional supervision. We will be leaving Trinity at 9.00am prompt. There is no need for you to hold a DBS. Sorry, but no younger siblings can accompany the group.

  • 9.00am – Leave Trinity to walk to Henley Rugby Football Club
  • 9.30-9.45am – Arrive at Henley Rugby Football Club
  • 9.45am – Briefing and Introduction to the morning
  • 9.50-10.35am – Carousel circuit (1)
  • 10.35am – Snack Time
  • 10.45-11.30am – Carousel circuit (2)
  • 11.35am – Debrief, group photo (permission required)
  • 11.45am – Leave HRFC and return to Trinity for lunch

There will be six multi-skills stations and the children will have the opportunity to compete with and against children from Trinity and other local schools. There will be about 12 minutes of activity on each station. Children should wear their PE kit and trainers on the day, and in case of cold weather, have a jumper or coat with them. Spaces are limited to 30, so those who are not attending will remain in school with Miss Rolfe.

Please complete the Google form via the link below, before Wednesday 19 March: https://forms.gle/zCb3EH43ii6pzEf7A

Lower Key Stage 2 (Years 3 & 4)

Optional homework

On Monday 17th March LKS2 will be starting their new topic, 'Window on the World'. The teachers would like to invite you and your child to take part in some fun, optional home projects. At the bottom of this Bulletin you will find a Topic Web with ideas that link to the themes that  they will be exploring in class. Teachers would love to see any work the children choose to do, but of course these are completely optional!
