TRINITY WEEKLY BULLETIN - Week commencing 30th June 2025

Whole School Updates

Consultation on smartphone ban

Alongside other schools in the area, Trinity is proposing to ban smartphones from school from September 2026 onwards. We would be very grateful if parents, particularly those with children currently in Year 4 or below, would CLICK HERE to confirm if you would be supportive of this move to not give phones with internet access to Primary School aged children. The consultation closes on Friday 11th July, so please let us know your thoughts before then.

Whole School Photo Ordering

Reminder that the deadline for ordering our whole school photo to benefit from free delivery to school is Monday 30th June. You can order by CLICKING HERE. Please remember to include your child's name to assist with distribution.

Transition morning - Friday 4th July

On Friday, children will spend the morning getting to know their new teacher for the next academic year. Children should come into school as normal and they will be given directions from their current teacher. This does not apply to Year 6 pupils.

On Wednesday 2nd July, you will receive an email advising which class your child will be in and who they will be taught by from September. This will allow you time to talk to your child ahead of the transition morning and hopefully get them to feel excited about their new class.

Trinity Talent Show Auditions

You have until Sunday 29th June to register your child for the Trinity Talent Show. Auditions will take place as follows:

  • Tuesday 1st – EYFS & KS1
  • Wednesday 2nd – LKS2
  • Thursday 3rd – UKS2
  • Friday 4th – MIXED acts

Lots of children have expressed an interest, but they can only do so if you have registered via this link - CLICK HERE

Attendance

Well done to Rosen class who had 100% attendance this week, closely followed by Bryon, Jeffers and Cowell all with 98%. Championing the importance of attendance for each and every pupil is integral to our school ethos and culture, as it affects not only your child's attainment, but also their wellbeing and their wider development. If you wish to know more, please visit our ATTENDANCE page, which also covers information about reporting absences etc.

Hot weather

Monday and Tuesday are going to be hot, so please apply suncream before school, rather than sending it to school. Hats and water bottles are a must too!

Lost property and ordering new uniform

We have a huge number of unclaimed jumpers and cardigans in lost property, which will be donated to the secondhand uniform sale if they are not claimed by the end of this term. Please have a look over the next couple of weeks if your child is missing anything.

If you wish to order new uniform from our supplier PMG Schoolwear, their deadline is 12th August - see flyer at the bottom of this Bulletin. From September 2025, we will be asking parents to support the school by sending children to school in correct, regulation school uniform. If you are unsure about what this is, please visit our UNIFORM page on the school website.

Henley Youth Festival - Theme and Logo Competition

Thank you to everyone who voted for this year's HYF theme. The winning theme is Amazing Animals. HYF are now looking for entries to design their logo. If you would like to find out more or submit a design please CLICK HERE. The deadline is 31st July 2025.

Early Years (Reception)

Books

Please have a look at home for any reading books that belong to school. We are trying to tally up which books need to be replaced, ahead of next academic year.

Key Stage 1 (Years 1 & 2)

Please refer to the Whole School Updates above. There is LOTS of enthusiasm for the Talent Show so please remember to register.

Lower Key Stage 2 (Years 3 & 4)

Please refer to the Whole School Updates above.

Upper Key Stage 2 (Years 5 & 6)

Yr 5 Walking to school

The lighter evenings and the summer holidays are the perfect time to start preparing current Year 5 children for walking to school, should they wish to, in Year 6. If children are ill-prepared as pedestrians they are much more likely to get injured or hurt. Please visit the school's WELLBEING page for helpful guides and more information on Oxfordshire County Council's Footsteps plan.

Matilda Jnr performance (Yr 6)

There are two opportunities for parents and family to see the Year 6 production of Matilda Jnr - 2:00pm (30 minutes later than previously advertised) and 6:30pm on Wednesday 2nd July. It is not necessary to purchase tickets, please just turn up to Holy Trinity Church.
