TRINITY WEEKLY BULLETIN - Week Commencing Monday 13th January 2025

Whole School Updates

Morning drop off

Thank you to everyone for getting on board with our new morning drop off routine. Both pupils and staff have found that this has resulted in a smoother, calmer start to the day, so we would be grateful for your continued support in dropping your children between 8:40-8:50am and encouraging children to make their way straight to their classroom.

Knowing when to send your child to school if they are unwell

At Trinity we understand the importance of good attendance. However, particularly in the winter months, we recognise that children may become unwell.

As a general guide, it is fine to send your child to school with a minor cough or cold if they are otherwise well and do not have a high temperature. However, if your child has a fever, they should stay at home. Please do not give them Calpol in order to lower their temperature before school.

If your child has diarrhoea and/or vomiting they should stay at home for at least 48 hours after the last episode.  Thank you for your co-operation.

Head bump emails

Going forward, we will no longer send head bump emails for minor bumps to the head or face. Your child will always be given a copy of their first aid slip, which will give information about any first aid incident. If a bump to the head is deemed to be serious, then a call home will be made to alert parents / carers. This will hopefully reduce the amount of emails you receive, as well as avoid causing unnecessary anxiety.

Flu Vaccinations

Did your child miss having their flu vaccination at school last year? Flu vaccinations are still available. Please visit the Health and wellbeing page of the school website to find out how to book your child in:

Early Years (Reception)

Welcome back

Hope you all had a good break over the Christmas holidays.  The children are happy to be back and we have lots of fun learning planned for this term - look out for the Curriculum map for more details.

Key Stage 1 (Years 1 & 2)

Forest school

Thank you to parents and Grandparents who have offered to come in and help. Please remember we go outside whatever the weather, so send your child to school with warm clothes and suitable footwear.

Lower Key Stage 2 (Years 3 & 4)

Welcome back

It's been lovely to have all of the children back in school this week and they seem to be enjoying our new topics. Please check your inbox for the Curriculum map which details what we will be looking at this term.

Upper Key Stage 2 (Years 5 & 6)

French Club

Learning a language is a valuable skill and we are lucky to have lovely Jane coming into school each Friday lunchtime to run a club for Year 5 and 6 pupils. If you fancy giving your child a head start with a subject they will cover in Secondary School, then contact c.j.hendry@yahoo.co.uk to book.
