100 Things
This is a whole-school initiative, designed to support our school vision to develop well-rounded pupils with curious minds.
Each pupil is given their very own 100 Things book (similar to a scrapbook) for them to keep throughout their time at Trinity. Inside the book is an activity sheet that outlines 15 interesting, non-academic challenges and experiences that are appropriate for their current year group and have been designed to develop independence, resilience and problem-solving. At the start of every new academic year, they will receive a new activity sheet.
The idea is that the children work through the activities at any point during the academic year and once per half term, on a specified date, they bring their book into school to show their teacher and classmates and receive their sticker that will go into the book. Many of the activities can be done at home or within the local community and a few will be facilitated through school events or topics.
Teachers will be talking about 100 Things on a regular basis with their classes and finding out how the children are getting on. We will have a 100 Things celebration display in the hall and once per half term we will award certificates to our top contributors!
Your support
We hope that you will enjoy supporting your child to complete their challenges and activities at home. Please encourage them to write a word or sentence about it, or draw a picture or take a photo to stick into the book. If parents / carers can initial when the child has competently completed a challenge, we would really appreciate that, so we can award them their sticker and celebrate their effort and progress.
We would also love to hear some examples of the challenges completed so that we can share this with other children and parents. Please email any photos or drawings etc to receptionist.3254@trinity.oxon.sch.uk
