Clubs, wrap around care and music

We believe in students growing, developing and bonding outside of the classroom.  There are a variety of activities available for all types of interests, in addition to our wrap around care. Take a look below to learn more.

Wrap around care

Our wrap around care is provided by Junior Adventures Group.  It is available weekdays during term time, for all year groups.

Rise then Shine starts at 7:30am

Stay and Play runs until 6:00pm

For further details, including how to book please click on the JAG tab below.

Clubs

In the majority of cases, after school clubs are run by external providers.

To sign up for a club, please contact the relevant club provider - contact details are listed in the attachment below and in the drop down boxes. It is necessary to sign up with the club provider in advance as they are unable to take children for ad-hoc sessions.

If last minute care is required, please contact Junior Adventures Group (JAG) (previously Energy Kidz) who should be able to accommodate you on a regular or occasional basis.

IMPORTANT: Clubs do not always mirror school term dates, so please make sure you check with the individual club provider which dates they are / are not offering sessions.

Music

We have external music teachers coming into the school throughout the week to teach a variety of instruments.

Fees are payable and bursaries are available.

Lessons are for Years 2 - 6 in most instances, but please contact the relevant teacher if you are interested in booking.

Orchestra

Experimental music group run by Mrs Calderbank

Tuesdays for Years 3-6

A musical group for pupils who play a musical instrument! The group will be free to join and for up to 15 players. We will work together to play music and create our own pieces, building musical skills and hopefully having lots of fun in the process!

  • Why ‘experimental’? The unique selection of instruments played at Trinity makes the group an experiment in itself, and we will also be experimenting with sounds and structures to compose some of our own music over the term!
  • Who can join the orchestra? The idea is for the group to consist largely of children in Key Stage 2 who currently play a musical instrument. However, children in Key Stage 2 who don’t play an instrument but have an interest in music are welcome to apply, along with instrumentalists in Key Stage 1. If there isn’t space for everyone who applies in the group at this time, registering interest could help to shape future projects offered.
  • When will the Experimental Orchestra meet? Tuesdays, from 3:15 – 4:15pm during the Summer Term, not including the first week of term, starting Tuesday 29th April.

Piano players should sign up being prepared to play keyboards, glockenspiels and/or other percussion. Children who learn the drum kit should expect to play djembes, cajons, glockenspiels and other percussion.

To apply, please fill in the following Google Form as soon as you can, as the group may be over-subscribed. https://forms.gle/6ximQxVDBSSgTdsJ8

If you have any questions about the group, please feel free to email me at emmacalderbank@yahoo.co.uk
