Choir

We are lucky enough to be able to offer two choirs for Trinity pupils. The first is 1,2,3 Sing for children in Years 1-3 and the second is Miss Hart's choir, which is for Years 4-6.  This page is for parents of children who are already signed up for choir.

1,2,3 Sing with Mrs Calderbank

In 1,2,3 Sing we aim to have lots of fun whilst developing our musical, vocal and performance skills.  We practise every Monday after school and enjoy playing singing games and learning songs to perform at lots of different events through the school year.

This Spring Term we have had lots of fun with our animal-themed warm-ups (you could ask your child about Bumblebee Tuna, or Dogs doing the Can Can if they haven't already told you!) and we have been working really well on two contrasting songs, plus an Easter song.

I Have a Song to Sing is a very simple but beautiful song with a lovely message.  Here is a link to the music if your child would like to practise at home:

Supercalifragalisticexpialidocious is our contrasting song!  The children have done such a good job at capturing the spirit of this funny, up-beat song, and are doing brilliantly with learning the words.  Please find the BACKING TRACK we are using and the LYRICS SHEET in case your child would like to practise at home.  Or you can easily search for the original movie version on YouTube if you'd like to.

Finally, this is a link to the Easter song which we will be singing at the school Easter service.  If your child would like to have a go at making their own Easter-themed shaker to play while we sing, that would be lovely! (I'll be showing them a simple method for how to do this in one of our practices!)

Happy singing everyone! 🎶

Junior Choir with Miss Hart

In Junior Choir (Y4-6) we aim to start our mornings with some fun. We sing a range of songs (tunes from the shows, pop, sea shanties, nonsense songs). Last term we worked really hard on singing in parts and hope to continue this.

As well as singing, in Junior Choir we learn about musicianship and how to sing as a group. We sing lots of warm up songs and play lots of games to help us develop these skills.

In recent weeks we have been working on the songs below. If your child would like to have a practice - please use these links.
