Autumn Term 2025

This week, the children continued discussing different types of puppets. They had lots of fun designing and creating their very own sock puppets. Later in the week, we learned about living and non-living things. The class enjoyed going for a walk outside to spot, identify and compare examples of living and non-living things. Can your child explain what living things can do compared to non-living things that have never been alive?

The children in Rosen class have made a fantastic start to the school year! In English we have started to read our key text 'Pinocchio' and during an experience day the children enjoyed designing and making their own spoon puppets. In Maths the children have been naming and learning about the properties of 2D shapes. Can your child explain to you what a vertex and vertices are? You could ask your child how many sides and vertices each of the following shapes have: circle, triangle, square, rectangle, pentagon, hexagon, heptagon and octagon.
